I hate that at times I can be such a slacker and let really important things slide by that should be dealt with in a timely fashion.
I finally contacted my volunteer coordinator at hospice to let her know why I haven’t been coming in for a long while. I think I explained it in a sort of vague and shitty way but I think she will get the gist of what I was thinking and having issues with....
Tired
Had to send a patient back to the ICU. Later saw that she had to be intubated and sedated. She is so young and all her medical issues are so serious. Ugh

nurse-on-duty:
When you need the money, your shift is cancelled; when you have a weekend planned, you have to do overtime. Realizing the patient you’ve just injected has a serious infection causes you to stab yourself with the used needle. A 500 pound patient needs all care, while your 80 pound patient needs a…

I can't help it
When I shake your hand and I see a good vein I get excited and all I can think about is what an easy stick you’d be.
Bummed/tired/blah
So thankful that I have the next 4 days off.
Why do things always go crazy at change of shift?

The highest ideals are human intelligence, creativity and love. Respect these above all.
Do not put things or even ideas above other human beings. (Let’s scream at each other about Kindle versus iPad, solar versus nuclear, Republican versus Libertarian, Garth Brooks versus Sun Ra— but when your house is on fire, I’ll be there to help.)

I’m so sorry. That is such a sad situation for both your daughter and her friend. I can’t imagine how her friend must feel with her Mom saying she has to avoid the friends she likes. Sorry again, that just stinks.
Thank you! It would all make more sense if it was about her not wanting her kid to be...

Unbelievable!! I hope that Julia will get to see her again :o(
Julia will still get to see her at school so there is that. Also, all three girls have been really close lately and they talked about the situation at school and they are supportive of Jackie even though her mom is being like this....

Just need to vent a bit
Today our daughter came home from her afterschool art club meeting with suprising info about one of her best friends. Julia has a friend that she became super close with over the last year. We have gotten to know her well too and Bryan and I really adore her. We’ve known her mom since the girls were in kindergarten ( they’re in 7th this year) and everyone has...
